Lead Special
Support Assistant
– Student Support
and Intervention
Full-time, permanent
Salary: Scale 3/4, SP14-21. £16,692 – £18,709 per
annum including London Weighting Allowance;
(FTE £20,007- £22,425 per annum)
Term-time only
The Link Secondary School caters for pupils with
speech, language and communication difficulties,
many of whom are on the autistic spectrum.
Abilities are wide ranging, varying from pupils
who meet cognitive milestones to pupils with
complex needs.
At the Link, we are currently looking to recruit
a Lead Special Support Assistant for student
support and intervention. To be successful, you
will be self-motivated, with a genuine desire and
commitment to help children and young people
to fulfil their potential. In addition to the role of
Support Assistant, you will lead and manage tutor
time programmes to ensure a smooth, productive
and effective start for all students each day. Also,
you will be responsible for supporting aspects of
teaching and learning in school with appropriate
intervention work.

The Link Secondary – Fixed Term
(Full Time – 36 hours per week, Term Time Only);
Salary: Scale 4/5, £17,242 – £20,857 per annum
including London Weighting Allowance;
(FTE: £20,667 – £24,999 per annum)
The Link Primary – Permanent Part time
(Part Time – 21 hours per week, Term Time Only);
Salary: Scale 4/5, £10,058 – £12,166 per annum
including London Weighting Allowance;
(FTE: £20,667 – £24,999 per annum)

staff work closely with students and staff in
each school/College centre and with affiliates
and commissioning organisations to improve
educational and operational quality at every level
to benefit our students.
With strong administrative and organisational
skills, you will support the PA/School Secretary
in a range of administrative and office duties
providing effective and confidential comprehensive
administrative support in order to ensure the
smooth and efficient running of the school.
