Two Big Lottery Fund announcements could make a big impact in Carshalton and Wallington according to Tom Brake MP.
The Big Lottery are set to fund two projects based in Carshalton and Wallington, contributing £10,000 to The Balance Project and £10,000 to the Positive Activities Project.
The Balance Project provides sessions for young people suffering from anxiety and other mental disorders and allows them a safe place to heal and focus on their mental wellbeing.
Positive Activities is a project backed by Jigsaw4U Ltd, an organisation Tom has worked closely with in the past, that encourages young people to get involved in activities such as cooking or sports to help foster positive attitudes.
Tom Brake MP said:
“The projects are a great opportunity for young people to foster healthy attitudes and create a positive buzz within our community. As a parent, it’s uplifting to see organisations so keen on improving the lives of young people. It is great to see the Big Lottery Fund take the lead in encouraging community activity in Carshalton and Wallington.”
