Hit show Rain Man showing soon

Bill Kenright and The Classic Screen to Stage Theatre Company present a stage adaptation of RAIN MAN starring Mathew Horne and Ed Speleers. Inspired by the Oscar-winning film, this heart-warming story comes to Richmond Theatre from Mon 5 – Sat 10 Nov. Production images and syndicated interviews with both Mathew and Ed can be found here, please credit Robert Day for images.

When self-centered salesman Charlie Babbitt discovers that his long-lost brother Raymond, an autistic savant with a genius for numbers, has inherited the family fortune; he sets out to get ‘his half’. Charlie ‘borrows’ Raymond from the institution where he has spent most of his life and the two brothers embark on a trip across America where Charlie soon discovers that Raymond is worth more than he could have ever imagined…

Ed Speleers will be making his stage debut at Charlie Babbitt in RAIN MAN. His notable credits include Outlander, Downton Abbey and Eragon. Mathew Horne who will be playing Raymond Babbitt, is best known for playing Gavin in the double BAFTA-winning comedy series Gavin and Stacey. He has also starred in The Catherine Tate Show, Bad Education and more recently in The Miser on the West End.

The production is directed by Jonathan O’Boyle (Rasheeda Speaking, This House, Pippin) and also stars Elizabeth Carter, Mairi Barclay, Adam Lilley, Neil Roberts, Joe Sellman Leava and Hannah Barker.
