After Transport for London announced a consultation on a new Sutton Link project, Carshalton & Wallington’s Lib Dem MP Tom Brake said:

“After years of campaigning for improvements to local transport, I am glad to see that TfL has taken a step to help the people of Sutton.”

“The Sutton Link would help connect the communities of Sutton and Merton to one another, as well as to Central London, whilst also creating the potential for new jobs.”

“This improvement in transport is what the people of Sutton are entitled to, so I urge them to make their voices known to TfL.”

The Sutton Link is a proposed major transport link for Sutton and Merton that would improve transit and connections to Central London with proposed routes going to Wimbledon, South Wimbledon, or Colliers Wood.

This project seeks to improve speed and ease of travel between Sutton and Merton, improve access to jobs and services, and support the delivery of new homes in both boroughs.
