SUTTON housebuilder David Wilson Homes is proud to have been supporting Wrap Up London at its new homes at New Mill Quarter in Hackbridge. The campaign aims to provide coats to as many vulnerable people as possible, to help them get through the cold Winter months.

David Wilson Homes offered its New Mill Quarter development as one of the campaign’s designated collection sites, where members of the public kindly donated their old or unused coats to the charity. The carful of coats was then transported to the Wrap Up London drop off centre in Chiswick, where they will be collected and distributed by volunteers from Wrap Up London. With recent weather warnings and a potential White Christmas on the cards, this donation will be warmly received.

Natalie Perry, Sales and Marketing Director for David Wilson Homes, says: “We are proud to support Wrap Up London at New Mill Quarter this Winter. Our thanks go to everyone who was able to make a donation and play their part to help keep vulnerable people warm this winter.”

The collected coats will act as a lifeline for some of the most vulnerable members of society, as the coats’ recipients include those who are homeless, refugees, children living in poverty, and people fleeing domestic violence. With over 100 charities connected to the scheme, each coat will enable its new wearer to not only stay warm over the course of the winter, but to also build a lasting relationship with the charities that distribute them.

Jon Meech, Chief Executive Officer for Hands On London, says: “It’s great to see David Wilson Homes supporting the Wrap Up London campaign. Wrap Up London relies totally on the goodwill of local people so extending the opportunity to donate a coat in Sutton has been wonderful. Thanks to the generosity of local residents, many more vulnerable people will be kept warm this Christmas.”
