Sutton WIRE is a new podcast launched by Sutton Conservatives for weekly updates on key issues affecting the borough.

The podcast is available at SUTTON WIRE or by searching “Sutton Wire” in most podcast apps such as Apple Podcasts or Spotify.

The first edition which was launched on Thursday January 10 features discussions between Leader of the Sutton Conservatives Tim Crowley and fellow councillor Neil Garratt on the current parking consultations taking place and concerns raised about street cleaning and the state of the borough’s litter bins.

Neil said, “People assume the council is quietly getting on with things, but when they plan something big, by the time you find out it could be too late.
There was probably something written about it, but how do you find it among thousands of report pages and hours of meetings?

“As the Official Opposition we work for everyone to find that interesting nugget, and we want to let everyone know what we’ve found. Sutton Wire is a new way of doing that. So pull up a chair, grab a drink and listen in as we talk to the people who can help everyone know what’s going on.”

You can send them feedback or ask them to look into something by emailing [email protected], or find them on Twitter @SuttonWire.

If you think I have gone too far then fair enough. I just don’t want people to not listen because they think it they will be talked at.
