Sutton Befrienders Walking Groups:

New sociable walking groups are set up to help people in the community get active, have fun, reducing isolation and loneliness’ and enjoy the benefits of walking in a safe and friendly group.

They are open to anyone who may enjoy a nice walk with a friendly group, please feel free to come along on your own or with a friend.

“Don’t worry if you think you walk slowly, each walk will have at least 2 leaders so we can split into 2 groups that walk at different paces. The main aim of these groups are for people to meet others, get a little fresh air and hopefully enjoy themselves,” said a spokesperson for the groups

The Beddington Park group will be every Monday and meet opposite St Mary’s Church, Church Road, Wallington, SM6 7NJ at 10.30am. The walk should last 30/45mins and will end at the Pavilion Café, for refreshments.

The Grove, Carshalton group will be every Wednesday and Saturday and will meet at the gate by Westcroft Sport Centre and will end at the Café in Westcroft, for refreshments. These will start Wednesday 30th and Saturday 9th Feb.
