Warrenders Jewellers in Sutton  has raised £2,305 for The Royal  Marsden Cancer Charity to support the incredible work carried out by Royal Marsden Hospital.

Staff at the Cheam Road store raised the funds through a combination of in-store jewellery cleaning  events and participating in the annual Banham Marsden March. Seven members of the team took  part in the 15-mile hike across London on Sunday 19th May under the name The Sutton Sparklers.

The charity cleaning events that took place at Warrenders in March offered customers the chance  to have three pieces of jewellery professionally cleaned and polished in return for a donation. Over  £650 was raised through the cleaning events alone thanks to the support of loyal customers and local residents.
John Kitchener, Manager of Warrenders, commented: “We are very proud of the wonderful sum we have managed to raise for this worthy cause. The charity is close to the hearts of many of us here at Warrenders and we are glad to do our bit to help support the amazing work carried out at Royal Marsden Hospital. The response from our local community has been overwhelming with so many people attending our charity jewellery cleaning days and sponsoring us in our walk.”

The Royal Marsden Hospital is dedicated to pioneering cancer research, diagnosis and treatment.

All money donated to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity funds the outstanding care provided at the hospital and also aids research, which is used in hospitals across the world.
