Although only in its second year the Cheam Celebration of Food & Drink enjoys an exceptional reputation in the community as a place for friends & families and to come together. We are known for being a free inclusive and welcoming event, delivering a delicious opportunity for people from all walks of life to explore and learn about food.

“We pride ourselves on trader interaction and encouraging people to look differently at where their food comes from and how it is produced,” said a spokesperson.

So, where did it all begin? The Cheam Celebration of Food & Drink was created by 1 local resident who had moved away from the area in 1987 to go into HM Forces, when he returned some 30 years later the town and community he remembered had gone. As a food lover himself and his passion for social eating a free entry non-profit food and drink festival seemed the best way of reuniting the community.

In its first year over 8,000 people from the local area attended the celebration and to the traders delight they ate, drank, danced and connected with friend until the food was no more and the barrels were dry.

The Cheam Celebration of Food & Drink brings families and friends together to eat, drink & dance in a family orientated environment.
