Sutton police has re-issued a warning to older and more vulnerable residents following a rise in reports of people knocking on doors posing as window cleaners. In one case a woman living alone was called upon and was told that her windows had been cleaned and they had been done because of a recommendation from a neighbour further down the road. The man was unable to say exactly where and the resident closed the door immediately. REMEMBER Trading Standards and the Police do not advise you to engage traders at the door and do not let anyone in to your home if you have the slightest concern. If you require a trader why not use the London Age UK Business Directory open to all Sutton residents online www.aubdlondon.co.uk/ or by calling 0800 3345056
