Working out of Carshalton the Sutton District Training Ltd. are an established is are looking for local employers to offer our 2nd year students a (minimum) 45 day industry placement in the academic year 2019/20 (this could be spread out say, one or two days a week over a period of time or as appropriate to the work.)
“We have students who are studying a wide range of technical courses, including gaming/future media, customer service, multi-skills, carpentry, painting and decorating, plumbing who will be needing a placement. The new T-Level courses will have an industry placement as a mandatory part of the course with a gradual roll-out, so we are starting early to prepare for this, said a spokesperson.
“Students would be supported throughout their placement by SDT Ltd. and mentored regularly to maximise the benefits of the opportunity.”
These placements can also offer those organisations involved in the scheme:
    • Extra resources for projects and day-to-day operations from students developing skills in a course relevant to the service, business or industry
  • Build brand value and corporate reputation
  • Social value: share with stakeholders how your business has supported local young people into industry placements, improving their employability and progression opportunities.
